About Littleton Premier Heating & Air in Matthews, NC
A phone that gets answered at any hour, a licensed HVAC technician who diagnoses before quoting, and a price you hear before the work.
What Littleton Premier Heating & Air is
Littleton Premier Heating & Air is a 24/7 answering and dispatch line for heating and air conditioning, based around Matthews, NC and serving the towns on the east side of Mecklenburg County and western Union County. When you call, a person answers, works out what your system is doing and sends a licensed HVAC technician who handles that kind of equipment: a heat pump, a gas furnace, a central air conditioner, a dual-fuel setup, a ductless mini-split or the ductwork in the attic and crawl space that feeds them.
Littleton Premier Heating & Air connects you with independent licensed HVAC contractors who perform the work. The contractor who comes to your home is responsible for the work it performs, and you approve the price before any repair begins.
Search for heating and air in Matthews and you will find big Charlotte-metro brands with long city pages and local shops that keep weekday hours. We set out to be something plainer: a real answer at 2 a.m., a technician who explains what failed, and pages that talk about the houses here (1990s two-story homes, crawl spaces over red clay, heat pumps working through a January cold snap) instead of generic copy with the town name swapped in.
Answering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Air conditioners give out on the muggiest week of July and heat pumps fall behind on the coldest night in January. A person answers (321) 478-0693 around the clock, weekends and holidays included. What that promise means: your call is answered, you get the safe checks first, and dispatch starts on that call. What it does not mean: a promised arrival time. In a heat wave or after an ice storm every HVAC contractor around Charlotte is booked, so we tell you the honest wait. Our 24/7 emergency HVAC repair page explains how night, weekend and holiday calls work.
Licensing and insurance, stated plainly
Every HVAC technician we send is licensed and insured in North Carolina. In North Carolina the license belongs to the contractor: the North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors licenses heating and air conditioning contractors statewide, and most residential work falls under the H-3 classification. The technicians who come to your house work under that license, and anyone who opens a refrigerant circuit also needs EPA Section 608 certification.
Because we send independent contractors rather than our own crew, this site does not print a license number, and Littleton Premier Heating & Air does not hold one itself. Ask the technician for the contractor's license number and check it on the board's license lookup at nclicensing.org before you approve any work. A legitimate contractor will not mind.
How dispatch works
- 1You call and describe what the system is doing. If there is ice on the lines, water coming from the attic air handler, a burning smell or a breaker that keeps tripping, we have you shut the system off first.
- 2We confirm the address (a Matthews mailing address can be in Mecklenburg or Union County) and the equipment: heat pump, gas furnace, dual fuel, ductless or ductwork.
- 3We match the job to the nearest available licensed contractor who works on that equipment, and you hear the expected timing on the call. If a heat wave has every technician booked, we say so.
- 4The technician diagnoses, shows you what failed and gives you the price in writing before any repair starts.
- 5After the approved repair, the system is run and tested, and you hear about anything else worth watching before the next season.

Who is involved in your call
Three parties touch every job, and it helps to know who is responsible for what before anyone comes out.
- Littleton Premier Heating & Air answers and dispatches. We take the call, walk you through the safe checks, match the job to a contractor who works on your equipment and tell you the expected timing.
- The HVAC contractor is responsible for the work. It holds the North Carolina heating license, carries the insurance, sets the price, pulls any Mecklenburg or Union County permit and stands behind its own workmanship.
- The technician at your door works under that license. Refrigerant work also requires EPA Section 608 certification, and gas work is done to the manufacturer’s instructions and the state mechanical and fuel gas codes.
Five questions worth asking the technician before you approve anything:
- 1Which contractor do you work for, and what is its North Carolina license number?
- 2Can I see proof of liability insurance, and workers’ compensation coverage if it applies?
- 3Are you EPA Section 608 certified if this job involves refrigerant?
- 4What does the warranty on this repair or system cover, parts or labor, and for how long, in writing?
- 5For new equipment, who pulls the permit and who registers the equipment with the manufacturer?
You are never obligated to approve a repair after the diagnosis. If you decline, the only charge is any diagnostic or after-hours fee you agreed to on the phone before the visit.
Our service commitment
- A person answers the phone 24 hours a day, every day of the year, holidays included.
- You hear the expected timing on the call, never an arrival promise we cannot keep.
- The technician diagnoses before quoting and explains what failed in plain English.
- You get the price in writing before any repair starts, and nothing happens without your approval.
- A capacitor is not a reason to sell you a system. When replacement is the better call, you get the reasons in writing.
- Refrigerant work is done by EPA Section 608 certified technicians, and a low charge means finding the leak, not topping it off.
Built around Matthews houses
Matthews grew from about 1,600 people in 1980 to 29,435 at the 2020 Census, and the median home here was built around 1994. Most houses are two-story subdivision homes from 1985 to 2005, with an air handler in the attic, ductwork in a crawl space over damp red clay, and a heat pump outside, often paired with a gas furnace in the larger homes. Many are on their second or third system, and some still run R-22. Summers bring long, humid stretches near 90 degrees; winters bring freezing nights and the occasional ice storm. Every page on this site is written around those facts. Start with AC repair in Matthews, heat pump repair and replacement or ductwork repair and humidity control.
